The challenge
Freight operators and fleet managers may have limited real-time visibility of wagon location, movement history and selected asset-condition signals. Disconnected tracking and sensor systems can make exception monitoring and maintenance planning more difficult.
The solution
A configurable tracking and sensor-gateway concept combining satellite positioning, cellular communication and optional short-range sensor connectivity. Dashboard, alerting and reporting functions may be integrated where supported by the final system configuration.
How it works
The device is configured for the wagon and operating environment, receives positioning information, communicates through an approved available network and may collect data from compatible sensors. Hardware endurance, sensor compatibility, network coverage, enclosure protection and data-platform integration must be validated for the selected configuration.
